From Japan and Philippines to the UK and the US, nationalism is on the rise. This is transforming politics by enabling the rise of the right and, more alarmingly, of the far-right. Before we carry on, what do we mean by the right and the far-right? To understand this, we have to go back to the heady days of the French Revolution. In the French parliament, supporters of l'Ancien Régime sat on the right while those who wanted a secular republic with equality for all sat on the left. Those who sat on the right believed in hierarchy, tradition and clericalism. Inequality and social stratification were the natural order of the universe. Over time, the justification for some being more equal than others has changed from noble birth to ability and hard work. Those who win in a competitive free ...

That should read her brothers homosexual boyfriend who is registered on Dr Stephen Hancocks' companies out of the Ipswich/Yarmouth and Whitney regions (not my wife's boyfriend). This is a video I made on a very brief discussion with divorce solicitor Ms Thom (former full time employee at the Borders Council who I am not allowed to contact since they refused to answer my freedom of information request on the social landlords who took over all of the public assetts that were the council homes and flats that Mrs T-the fraudster sold to the undeclared entities (when Dierdre Hutton was just the boss at the health board who got a nice chunk of real estate out of the PEEL hospital) ...see reference to the toxic debt pools in the trillions that all of the banks now run: all over my website and the 300 videos on fraud war crimes and scams against the worlds people led out of secret G8/20 meetings and exemplified by the speculative society in edinburgh who crashed the banks in 2008...Sir ewan Brown now Chancelor at st andrews but not with any acacdemic experience...he was knighted within a month of our revealing his interlocks to all the crashed banks) who confirmed she is at the head of a non-limited company. The catholic church, real estate companies and hotel and the lawcourts are closing for lack of funds or for revelations on their ownership or TREASONOUS ACTS in the referendum and its sequelae. But I find it better to tell the story in easily understood short words like 7 year pay freeze, 20% energy price hikes and all of the crimes against the worlds people & all British kids which are it seems my bad behaviours. I will be pleased when it is all over so I can then get out all the details on who has persecuted me and their directorial details, war crimes and cover ups for the illegitimate monarchy and the christian oath that has no meaning in a Scottish marriage it seems. The videos on Windrams, Thoms and Boateng out of my wifes' bros school into Aegis Defence and the religious preaching, treasury sectors and envoy to the "Nuclear Free" RSA for the Genoocidal Tony Blair will all be explained when I get these harpies off my back and litigate against them for their crimes against the people and persecution of the innocents. Miss Thom put the phone down on me and since I became a fraud researcher all our SPEAKER PHONES have been broken....and the computer I lent my wife has been ENCRYPTED. Aegis is registered in Ecclestone square like the TRIDENT SCANDAL led by Tim Spicer the mercenary army genocidal criminal in Britain's land grabs in Africa.....MS Thom non-limited solicitor was a primary recipient of this with Salmond MacKaskill and dozens of other , NOW COMPLICIT, politicians and leaders of the media. It is fascinating and I never give in till JUSTICE has been delivered or I have been disembowelled. Please come and listen in on Friday morning its free to see how law enforcement Scotland works as a slave to the CROWN OFFICE and the treason that was Arnot Manderson and the gagging of the trident scandal is getting out all over the brutalised world......Ms Thom no longer forwards any disclorusers on my behaviours. But she has threatened to sue if I reveal her letter that conceded I could have all of my pension from Wellcome 6/7ths of which was in place when we married.....ONLY IF I DO NOT CONTEST THE CASE and ACCEPT "my Guilt".....I was tempted to use the word blackmail but this is a long and complicated word. like COMPLICITY and Turcan Connell, and corrupted law society Scotland and John Lamonts training with Brodies and Kevin drummonds Gagging order on all things tha sound like Moira Anderson or Arnot Manderson. Oh how I pine for simplicity, honesty and loyalty to everything you worked for LIFELONG.....please see my vid on the attempts to section me for such eccentric beliefs. Bye (this is a short word that means it is 2am and I anm doing this for my kids and the love of all the countries I have visited....when I was a highly paid moron (AKA not a determine fraud researcher).

Lincoln got his start in life after a pair of flatboat journeys to New Orleans. Soon afterward, he moved to New Salem, Illinois and set up as a store clerk there. When the Black Hawk War broke out in 1832, he became the captain of his volunteer company, serving for three months but seeing no active duty. Lincoln's first bid for elected office came in that same year, when he ran unsuccessfully for the Illinois state legislature. Two years later, he ran again and was victorious, becoming a fixture of the Whig party in the General Assembly for the next eight years. At the same time, Lincoln's law career began to flourish. He was admitted to the bar in 1837, and moved to Springfield, the new state capital, later that same year. Lincoln married Mary Todd in 1842. The couple had four sons together, two of whom would die tragically while still children. Then, in 1846, Lincoln was elected to U.S. Congress, and moved to Washington to serve out his term, where he spoke out against the Mexican War and unsuccessfully attempted to abolish slavery in the District of Columbia. In 1849, Lincoln returned to Springfield to resume his career as a lawyer and devote more time to his family. His political life seemed to be over. But when the slavery question heated up in the middle 1850s, Lincoln took to the stump again, running unsuccessfully for Senate in 1854 and 1858. Despite these losses, Lincoln gained national exposure due to his flair for oration. Such talent was especially evident during the series of debates he engaged in against Stephen Douglas during the campaign of 1858, when Lincoln established himself as a leading opponent of popular sovereignty. A combination of luck, manipulation, and talent won Lincoln the Republican nomination for president in 1860. An especially fragmented race, featuring four major candidates, resulted in a victory for Lincoln despite the fact that he won less than 40 percent of the popular vote. With an avowed opponent of slavery having gained the nation's top office, several southern states began to consider the prospect of secession. An initial wave of secession led by South Carolina brought about the establishment of the Confederate States of America, a self-declared independent nation apart from the United States of America. After Lincoln attempted to reinforce Fort Sumter in Charleston, South Carolina, Confederate forces opened fire and the Civil War began. When Lincoln called for a sizeable militia to quash the rebellion, several more states, led by Virginia, also seceded. While Lincoln insisted that the Civil War was being fought to preserve the Union, the fate of slavery also played a major role. Lincoln took an overpowering role as commander-in-chief in a time of war. Controversially, he suspended several rights as defined by the Constitution and expanded the powers of both the executive and the federal government considerably. In addition, Lincoln signed several significant pieces of legislation into law, including policies relating to currency, homesteaders, railroads, and taxes. Today, many view Lincoln's most significant action as president to be his Emancipation Proclamation of January 1, 1863, which paved the way for the Thirteenth Amendment and the abolishment of slavery in the United States. He also became noted for his pithy way with words, giving such memorable speeches as the Gettysburg Address and the Second Inaugural. Together with his trademark beard and stovepipe hat, Lincoln's talent for simple eloquence has become a part of popular legend. The Civil War proved long and costly for both sides, and though the Union enjoyed superior numbers and stores, they were often overwhelmed by the superior military minds of the Confederacy. Despite heavy criticisms from all sides, Lincoln maintained enough support to win re-election in 1864. As the war drew to a close, Lincoln made preparations for a charitable reconstruction plan to help unify the nation once again. Less than one week after the Confederate surrender, while attending a Washington theater, Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. The nation mourned as he lay in state, and Illinois wept when her favorite son was interred at Springfield a few weeks later. The work of reconstruction would carry on without Lincoln, but his memory would live on in the nation's imagination. For his work in preserving the union and bringing an end to the "peculiar institution" of slavery, Abraham Lincoln would come to earn a place of honor among the greatest of American heroes. It took a lot of effort to make this video. A subscriber or a like would make us happy! Thank you for watching!

Tony winner Harvey Fierstein takes the stage in a ravishing world premiere by one of the most influential playwrights of our time, Tony nominee Martin Sherman. Fierstein plays Beau, a pianist expat living in London, who meets Rufus, an eccentric young lawyer, at the dawn of the internet dating revolution. After a life spent recovering from the disappointment and hurt of loving men in a world that refused to allow it, Beau is determined to keep his expectations low with Rufus. But Rufus comes from a new generation of gay men who believe happiness is as much their right as anyone else’s, and what Beau assumed would be just another fling grows into one of the most surprising and defining relationships of his life. A remarkably moving, brilliantly funny love story, GENTLY DOWN THE STREAM reflects the triumphs and heartbreaks of the entire length of the gay rights movement, celebrating and mourning the ghosts of the men and women who led the way for equality, marriage and the right to dream.

Mr. Beat's band: http://electricneedleroom.net/ Mr. Beat on Twitter: https://twitter.com/beatmastermatt Help Mr. Beat spend more time making videos: https://www.patreon.com/iammrbeat The 22nd episode in a very long series about the American presidential elections from 1788 to the present. I hope to have them done by Election Day 2016. In 1872, it's Grant versus a vegetarian who looks like a lion. Oh yeah, and it's the first presidential election (if not only) in which a woman runs with an African American. Who cares if women can't vote yet! Feeling extra dorky? Then visit here: http://www.countingthevotes.com/1872 For the most part, Ulysses Grant remained popular during his first term as President, especially with the majority of Republicans. He got his party’s renomination. However, some Republicans did not like him so much. For one thing, they didn’t like how Grant had a lot of friends in his Cabinet and ignored merit. A lot of his friends, as it would turn out, were a bit corrupt. As matter of fact, Vice President Schuyler Colfax was tied to the Crédit Mobilier of America scandal, in which many politicians were bribed for actions favorable to the railroad company Union Pacific. It would be just one of several scandals tied to the Grant administration. After Colfax was implicated, the Republican Party decided it might not be such a good idea to renominate him, so they nominated Henry Wilson, the Senator from Massachusetts, to be Grant’s running mate instead. Still, some Republicans, like Charles Sumner, weren’t satisfied. Sumner was sick of the favoritism Grant showed to friends and family, calling it “Grantism.” Some influential Republicans refused to support him, and actually started a new political party called the Liberal Republican Party. Those dang liberal Republicans. They nominated Horace Greeley, a former Representative from New York and a well-known editor of the New York Tribune, for President. A journalist running for President? Crazy. They nominated Benjamin Gratz Brown, the Governor of Missouri, as his running mate. Now here’s something interesting, a fusion, or cross-endorsement, nomination. The Democratic Party also decided to nominate Horace Greeley for President and Benjamin Gratz Brown for Vice President. They even adopted the Liberal Republican platform, showing they were cool with Reconstruction policies. Really though, the main reason why they decided to go with the Liberal Republican nominees is because they wanted to take down Grant and knew by nominating different people it would just split his opposition. How about some third parties? Well, there were at least three new ones. The Labor Reform Party tried to nominate a couple fellows, lawyer Charles O’Conor from New York, and Supreme Court justice David Davis from Illinois, but things just didn’t work out. It was kind of doomed from the start. Meanwhile, there was the Prohibition Party, which was formed to oppose the consumption and sale of alcohol. James Black, who founded the party and was a big temperance activist, duh!, was their first nominee for President. John Russell, another founder of the party, was his running mate. By far the most interesting third party that ran for President in 1872, and maybe in American history, was the Equal Rights Party. The National Woman’s Suffrage Association had supported a woman named Victoria Woodhull, an activist who publicly talked trash about the government only being made up of men. Despite the fact that women all across the country could not vote, well except in sparsely populated Wyoming territory, Woodhull became the first woman to be nominated for President in American history. Frederick Douglass was nominated as her running mate, but he never acknowledged the nomination. Woodhull had little money and borrowed money from supporters for her campaign, usually not able to pay them back. Where are Super PACs when you need them, eh? So yeah, just let that sink in for a moment. In 1872, a woman ran for President with an African American as her running mate. The two frontrunners, Grant and Greeley, were aggressively attacked. Grant for the corruption in his Cabinet, and Greeley for being an eccentric guy for his support of spiritualism (aka communicating with the dead), vegetarianism, prohibition, and socialism, all radical ideas at the time. Greeley had a rough campaign, and had the misfortune of a long history of positions published in his newspaper that opponents could nitpick. Even his own supporters were disappointed with him. On top of that, his wife died right before the election.

The Real Adam Smith: A Personal Exploration by Johan Norberg, takes an intriguing, two-part look at Smith and the evolution and relevance of his ideas today, both economic and ethical. It’s difficult to imagine that a man who lived with horse drawn carriages and sailing ships would foresee our massive 21st century global market exchange, much less the relationship between markets and morality. But Adam Smith was no ordinary 18th century figure. Considered the “father of modern economics,” Smith was first and foremost a moral philosopher. The revolutionary ideas he penned in The Wealth of Nations and The Theory of Moral Sentiments, changed the world. Morality and Markets is the first hour, which takes an intriguing look at Smith, his background and the evolution of his ideas, both economic and ethical. Norberg travels Europe to locales where Smith was born, educated and spent his life teaching, writing and advocating his revolutionary ideas on markets and human morality. The Founder and General Overseer of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has said any lawyer who threatens to sue him for publicly flogging his amorous adopted son and daughter is brainless. His comment follows the decision by renowned human rights lawyer, Francis Xavier Sosu to haul him before an Accra Human Rights Court Friday for violating the dignity of his (Obinim’s) adopted children and also dehumanizing and degrading them, an act which is in contravention of Article 15 (1) and 15 (2) respectively of the 1992 constitution. The controversial pastor ignited public outrage after he was seen in a video flogging the pregnant girl and her boyfriend. Infuriated by the couple’s lustful actions which resulted in a pregnancy, Bishop Obinim beat the youngman on his bare back with his belt before turning to the girl flogging her mercilessly in the full glare of his congregation. During the beating session, Obinim is heard questioning the jobless youngman why he got the girl pregnant when he has no finances for her upkeep and the upbringing of the unborn child. The girl who was unable to stand the flogging attempts to escape, but she was held by a right-hand man of the Bishop to enable the bishop to subject her to more beatings. After that, Obinim instructed his junior pastors to remove their belts and subject the couple to more flogging. For this condemnable action, Lawyer Sosu wants the eccentric pastors to answer questions in court for infringing on the human rights of the ‘couple’. But Bishop Obinim in an exclusive interview with Kasapa News stated that he remains unfazed by the threats of a law suit, and asked lawyer Sosu to get off his back. Subscribe! Subscribe! Subscribe! D-Liberty drops some peaceful words in 2009 on the 1837 rebellion in Upper Canada, because researching the Old World Order could help in dealing with New World Order... WILLIAM LYON MACKENZIE House Museum More info: Located at 82 Bond Street, just east of todays intersection of Yonge and Dundas streets in downtown Toronto, Mackenzie House is a Greek Revival row-house, which was purchased by the community for William Lyon Mackenzie who was the first Mayor of Toronto, an outspoken newspaper editor and leader of the 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion. This house is believed to be one of the most haunted houses in Toronto and possibly Canada. Even if ghostly activity is not witnessed, the exhibits are worth the visit! http://www.toronto.ca/culture/museums/mackenzie.htm William Lyon Mackenzie King, was a Canadian lawyer, economist, university professor, consultant, civil servant, journalist, teacher, and politician. He served as the tenth Prime Minister of Canada. With over 21 years in the office, he was the longest-serving Prime Minister in British Commonwealth history. His maternal grandfather was William Lyon Mackenzie, first mayor of Toronto and leader of the Upper Canada Rebellion in 1837... Privately, he was highly eccentric with his preference for communing with spirits, including those of Leonardo da Vinci, Sir Wilfrid Laurier, his dead mother, and several of his Irish Terrier dogs, all named Pat except one named Bob. He also claimed to commune with the spirit of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, American president and close friend. In 1953 Time Magazine stated that he owned and used both a Ouija board and a crystal ball, now on display at Laurier House National Historic Site in Ottawa http://www.pc.gc.ca/lhn-nhs/on/laurier/index.aspx (Located at 335 Laurier Ave. East.) From Japan and Philippines to the UK and the US, nationalism is on the rise. Those who win in a competitive free market deserve greater rewards for their ingenuity and industriousness. The right broadly believes that markets produce better outcomes than governments and that inequality is a price worth paying for efficiency, choice and greater wealth for all. The far-right takes ideas of inequality and stratification to absurd levels. It often ascribes an entire nation or race as superior. The Nazi Party famously deemed Germans belonging to the Aryan race as the master race. In contrast, Jews, Slavs and many others were mere untermenschen. The Nazis were part of a long European tradition of such extreme ideas. The British believed they were superior to the yellow opium addicts in China and the brown idol worshippers in India. Belgian King Leopold II believed that his countrymen had a divine right to slaughter, torture and pillage the half-humans who inhabited the heart of darkness in Congo. After decades of relative obscurity and quiescence, the far-right finds itself back in the fray. In Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte is urging people to kill drug addicts. Austria faces another election where a Glock 9mm pistol-packing Norbert Hofer has a fair shot at the presidency. In France, Marine Le Pen is the respectable face of the immigrant-bashing far-right. The UK has just voted for Brexit thanks in no small part to the exhortations of xenophobes like Nigel Farage. In the US, the rise of Donald Trump, a tacky billionaire and reality television star, is confounding political analysts and sending shivers down spines of minorities such as Muslims and Mexicans. As this speaker wrote not too long ago, this is an age of fear, anger, hate and terror. The scale and pace of change is faster than ever. Inequality is rising incessantly not only in terms of income and wealth but also in terms of education and opportunity. Social mobility has taken a battering. Institutions are increasingly crumbling around the world. There is a growing dichotomy between global aspiration and local impoverishment. This puts collective identities in question. Is it nation, region, ethnicity, race or religion? Far-right leaders are touching upon deep seated fears and providing simplistic solutions to complex problems. They are rising to the fore because elites are empty and exhausted. These elites have been narrow and technocratic. They have tried to kick the can down the road and dodged big questions. Most importantly, they have failed to articulate a vision with a compelling collective narrative and people feel lost. It is a most dangerous time for the planet as temperatures increase, sea levels rise and people turn to demagogues for quick fixes. Atul Singh Bio: Atul Singh is the Founder, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Fair Observer. He teaches Political Economy at the University of California, Berkeley and at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar where he also teaches World History. He studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford on the Radhakrishnan Scholarship and did an MBA with a triple major in finance, strategy and entrepreneurship at the Wharton School. Singh worked as a corporate lawyer in London and led special operations as an elite officer in India’s volatile border areas where he had many near-death experiences. He has also been a poet, playwright, sportsman, mountaineer and a founder of many organizations. Singh’s knowledge is eclectic, and his friends often joke that it comes in handy when access to Google is limited.

So it's another way to get back at him. Tiger is not a vicious dog at all. I helped train him. Tiger was a very good dog. And they killed him, the last time they went and raided his house." 6. SOUNDBITE: (English) Telesforo Guerra, John McAfee's lawyer: (Reporter asks: "If you would seek asylum in Mexico, when would you do that?") (Guerra): "That would be one of the last steps that we have." 9. Close-up of immigration detention centre door 10. Mid of Guerra entering centre, door closes STORYLINE: A lawyer representing software company founder John McAfee visited him in an immigration detention centre in Guatemala City on Friday, after his request for political asylum was turned down. Asked if a similar application would now be made in Mexico, attorney Telesforo Guerra said "that would be one of the last steps that we have." An American man, who claimed to be a friend of McAfee and said his name was John Paul, arrived at the same detention centre on Friday and was denied entry. McAfee's team is filing four separate legal appeals in an effort to prevent his return to Belize, where police want to question him in connection with the fatal shooting of another US expatriate. McAfee went on the run last month after officials tried to question him about the death of his neighbour Gregory Viant Faull, who was shot and killed in early November on the Belize island where both men lived. McAfee often clashed with neighbours and authorities over allegations that he kept aggressive dogs, weapons and drug paraphernalia on his property. According to Paul, McAfee was being harassed in Belize. The software company founder says he had no involvement in the shooting of his neighbour, and says authorities are persecuting him because he knows about official corruption.
